Matthew Tallacksen has been writing for over thirty years - not as a pursuit, but as a compulsion. He was introduced to the film industry in the early 1990s and he never stopped writing after that. His latest screenplay has received significant industry recognition.
That screenplay is Elven.
A family fantasy set against the Scottish Highlands, Elven follows a mother and daughter whose unexpected inheritance pulls them into a centuries-old mystical conflict. The script has accumulated over 30 competition recognitions - including

Kara brings nearly two decades of high-level media and marketing expertise to the literary world. A graduate of NYU’s Fine Arts program, she spent 19 years in New York City navigating the intersection of creativity and strategy, including tenures as Vice President at industry giants IPG and Publicis. Featured in Susan Casey's book, Women Invent, and an award-winning painter and writer herself, Kara now leverages her deep corporate acumen and artistic intuition as a Literary Agent, championing voices with the same precision and passion she brought to some of the world’s largest advertising agencies.
